Forestry

The Fort St. John timber supply area (TSA) lies in the northeastern portion of British Columbia whin the Prince George Forest Region and is administrated from the forest district office in Dawson Creek, BC. The total area of the Fort St. John TSA is 4,673 million hectares.

Agriculture

The North Peace agriculture industry provides strong potential for business investment, job creation, economic growth and rural development. A combination of flatland, foothills and mountains, the North Peace is considered a prairie region. North Peace Farms enjoy the dual advantages of low land prices and low cost of production.

Energy

Although we know that fossil fuel is a big part of the future of the North Peace, our region is also excited about the many opportunities for alternatives to fossil fuels. The region already has two hydro electric dams, the Peace Canyon Dam and the WAC Bennet Dam which is the largest hydro electric dam in British Columbia.

Community & Rural Development

As the “Energy Capital" of the Province, the City of Fort St. John offers big city amenities with small community friendliness.
